After many hours of research on the murder of Harriet Moss McDaniel of St. Joseph, Missouri, that occurred on July 15, 1916, I accidentally came across a video produced and posted by the City’s Public Library. Despite the hours of work put into the story I thought it best for anyone interested to hear the story and the accompanying visual aids to appreciate the events of this 109 year old unsolved murder. The facts and circumstances surrounding the saga are enumerated in an excellent manner by a good raconteur, the History Librarian.
There are some intriguing details that I amplified in my written version, which is the reason for the title . . . . “”A Martial (and Legal) Morass.” So not to spoil the intrigue of the story I will not post those captivating facts now but in a later post.
Enjoy!
