This is–alas!–the last installment of my interview with Taylor Northcutt. Today we have a husband-and-wife team. Taylor’s analysis seems spot on to me!
This time you’ll see the analysis first and the final part of the interview immediately following.
To learn about (one of) Edward and Florence’s crimes, read on!

These mugshots were taken in 1906, after Edward and Florence had been arrested for shoplifting over $7,000 worth of goods. In 2026, this would be equivalent to over a quarter of a million dollars.
In this particular instance, Edward was found Guilty and Florence was declared Not Guilty. Florence’s record was longer, in terms of being arrested and charged, but as far as I could find, she only served time once. Her husband, on the other hand, served multiple terms for larceny and shoplifting.
According to the Baltimore Sun,
“The arrest and indictment of the Caspers followed a raid by the police on their house, 5 West Twenty-fourth street, when about $7,000 worth of goods was taken by the police. State’s Attorney Owens told Judge Harlan that Casper had served 18 months in Jollet prison and had been paroled in Philadelphia, and he had consented to accept a plea of guilty in one case, because only about $240 worth of the goods found in the Caspers’ home had been identified…
The indictment to which Casper pleaded charged the larceny of a coat and trousers valued at $25 from Isaac Hamburger & Sons…It was said that Casper objected at first to pleading guilty because the judge would not consent to give him a sentence of two years. Because of Casper’s criminal record, Judge Harlan refused to do this…
The goods found in the Caspers’ house and which have not been identified will have to be returned to them. As only $240 worth of the goods was identified, according to State’s Attorney Owens, and the goods found in the house are valued at about $7,000, the Caspers will have nearly all returned.”
I’ve gotten so much great feedback about Taylor’s analyses. It’s really amazing he was able to deduce so much about all four of the people we looked at. Fingers crossed he agrees to come back! In the meantime, be sure to subscribe to his Prosopa Insights YouTube channel to learn more from him!
