This 1912 photograph by A.E. Brown shows an unidentified Canadian cowboy shaving near a wagon. This gentleman was willing to put a little effort into his appearance! What do you think of those sheepskin chaps?
In the early part of the twentieth century using photographs as postcards was a common practice. This was one such photo and the message has survived. It was postmarked Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in February of 1913.

Hope you had a good time in Switzerland & did not break yourself either financially or otherwise! I will write soon. Glad we’re having better weather now, beginning to feel like spring.
Love, Dad
