In the summer of 1916, Alfred Stieglitz invited his friend, the painter Abraham Walkowitz, to visit his family’s country home on Lake George, in upstate New York.
Stieglitz used his camera to capture his own shadow (on the right) with Walkowitz in the shallow waters of Lake George.
I love looking at light on the water. It’s fleeting and impossible to really capture in a picture, but I like the movement in this very ephemeral photograph!
