With an icy cold front and high winds ahead for a week, many of you will be keeping warm at home for the next several days. I was worrying about my parents being bored and cooped up inside and I had an idea to keep them entertained: Cold Snap Classic Movies.
For the next seven days, I’m sending them a classic movie every day that’s free to watch on YouTube. Different genres, different eras, and different stars. It’s a surprise! I’m sharing the movies here in case you’d like to watch with us. I’d love to hear what you think!
Our first movie is a 1938 British comedy called Pygmalion, starring Leslie Howard as the pompous Linguistics Professor Henry Higgins who rashly makes a bet he can train Eliza Doolittle, a poor girl selling flowers in Covent Garden, well enough to pass her off as a duchess.
Enjoy Pygmalion!
