Mugshot March: Carmilio Lucchesse is Suspicious

On December 19, 1909, Mr. Carmilio Lucchesse was picked up in New Orleans for being a Suspicious Person. Carmilio was born in Italy, resided in Milwaukee, and was only visiting New Orleans.

It’s hard for me to opine on this one. Suspicion is  just the kind of charge that anyone could get picked up on, and then what? What can you do if someone finds you suspicious?  I’ll grant that he looks a little disheveled and not too happy.

According to Justia:

Part I offenses are usually violent: murder, rape, aggravated assault, etc.

Part 2 offenses are usually not violent: buying, selling, and receiving stolen property, vandalism, commercialized vice, etc.

I couldn’t find any write-ups about Carmilio in the local paper so we can probably assume they let him go. Justice for Carmilio!
