  1. I kind of wonder how they moved under all those clothes, not that I am recommending she don a bikini, but still. It looks like a hundredweight of clothes on the poor old soul.

  2. The dress, shawl and bonnet are styles from the Civil War. The photograph looks “staged” to me. So many were at that time. Did you notice all the seeds on the floor? The clothes look black as if in mourning.

    • I didn’t notice the seeds! But I love little details like that. I’m not seeing the staging but I bet you she was a widow…Being observant like that is such a great talent. The secret of Sherlock Holmes’ genius!
