The Miracle is in the Background

This little girl, whose name is unknown, was playing the role of Titania in her school’s production of Shakespeare’a Midsummer’s Night Dream.

It might not look like a miracle but it was. The girl attended the Pennsylvania Institute for the Blind, also known as Overbrook School for the Blind.

I can’t think of any blind working actors or actresses, though there are many blind creatives in other fields, like music.

The miracle isn’t visible in the picture but there must have been one, somewhere in the background.

  1. She had to learn all her lines by heart from memory along with everyone else and know somehow her place on stage with everyone else. Gee, it would have been interesting to watch!
