“Trick or Treat.” Gosh, what great memories I have from my childhood. Must admit, as a young teen we did some “Tricks” that would anger me today if I were the recipient. Today, we look forward to the “little ones” coming to the door. Funny how the character of each one is revealed when you present a large bowl filled with a variety of candies and say, “You may have one of whatever you want.”

A little girl, maybe 3 years old, came to the door last night dressed as a princess. I gave her a few pieces of candy and she looked up at me reproachfully… so I had to give her more. She charmed me!

A little girl did the same thing at my door a few years ago. She stood her ground until I put several more candy bars in her bag! Lol

My Dad was born in 1912, and according to him, Trick or Treat was more of “trick” than “treat” in those days. I’m glad it was much tamer when I was a kid! Many happy memories of taking my kids and later, my grandkids Trick or Treating. Here in Nevada it’s State Admissions Day. We’re the Battle Born state (Civil War).
