Lightning Strikes the Eiffel Tower

As a follow up to yesterday’s post, take a look at this amazing picture that was taken by M.G. Loppé on June 3, 1902 at 9:30 p.m., when lightning struck the Eiffel Tower!

I love lightning photography. With today’s advanced cameras, we’re able to see in more sharp detail how lightning looks in the fraction of a second when it strikes. When you think of the camera he must have been working with, this beautiful shot by Monsieur Loppé is more amazing than ever.  What a storm this must have been!
