I promised a surprise for you all today, in honor of Year 6 of Mugshot March.
A couple of weeks ago, I reached out to Taylor Northcutt after coming across his fantastic YouTube channel, Prosopa Insights Taylor is a professional facial analyst who has been using physiognomy, morphopsychology, and a variety of other personality analysis systems to help people better understand themselves and others since 2021.
Taylor agreed to do a little collaboration with me. The video is partly an interview with him and partly his analysis of a few mugshots. I’ll release the interview in three pieces, including the first one today.
If you enjoy it, maybe I can persuade Taylor to do this again sometime. My video editing skills are not the best but Taylor’s analysis is brilliant!
Lewis was no stranger to trouble, as his rap sheet suggests. I found a few newspaper clippings for him from different states and different crimes–all of the conman variety.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree with Taylor’s analysis? Would any alarm bells go off in your mind if you saw Lewis Lowenthal somewhere?
Interesting topic and interview, Kimberly. Great work.
Lewis Lowenthal’s facial characteristics are immediately noticeable, i.e. the eyebrows, small ears, but the interpretation requires an expertise most do not have in their tool bag. If I passed Lowenthal on the street I wouldn’t feel the least bit threatened. I suppose that makes him an effective thief and con man.
I have a question for Taylor Northcutt: What is the difference between physiognomy and profiling? Is there a difference? Law enforcement, particularly the FBI, uses profiling on a regular basis. The FBI even has a position of Profiler, which is used in narrowing possible suspects in a crime.
Another query I have, what can be concluded about someone who constantly smiles? I have noticed new politicians on the national scene that constantly smile when in the public eye. Is it a nervous habit? Or, is it purposeful deception?
