Kimberly’s post of June 20, 2026 piqued my interest. I was not aware of Ruth St. Denis and entertainers of that era always seem to have an interesting backstory and/or intriguing career. Newspapers from that time provide so insight into the Kimberly’s “bejeweled” dancer and her show.

Reading a newspaper from 1915 is a great way to compare the journalism skills of that era to those of today. The opening sentence of The Oregonian article is a great example.
