Mugshot March: Unusual Crimes and Beautiful Pictures from Wales

Here are some of the other mugshots I found from WalesOnline.co.uk. The pictures are so good, it’s hard to believe they’re mugshots!

This is Florrie Sullivan. She got two months hard labour for ‘shop breaking’ in May 1904. Florrie looks like a very determined person to me. My guess is that she would do whatever she decided to do, and that was that.

This is Mr. James Marks, who was charged with “expressing his person with an intent to insult females” in October 1910. He received six weeks of hard labour for his…self-expression.

Isabella Wheeler was given one day for sacrilege in October 1912.

Albert Parr and Archibald Biggs stole boots and chickens. They had to serve seven and 10 days’ hard labour respectively for the chicken theft. The boots were a less serious matter, and the boys were given the choice were of paying 10 shillings or doing an additional seven days’ hard labour. No word on which option these dangerous criminals opted to take.  (I say that sarcastically, but Albert Parr really does look kind of scary to me.)

Last one. This is Rose Ribenbach. She was picked up for prostitution and got seven days’ hard labour and was afterward expelled to Warsaw. Wow!
