She has such an interesting face. How would you describe her to someone who couldn’t see this photograph?

Lydia Leslie Lydie – Candlestick
The photographer was Frank Eugene, a photographer who was born in New York but spent most of his life in Germany. Eugene was an important figure in avant-garde photography and photographic education.
How in the world does one say her name? Too much sibilance! Nevertheless she looks like my grandmother who was mostly Scottish.
