I love the use of light and shadow to evoke emotion. The redwoods are always beautiful, but especially so in this 1910 sepia-toned picture of a winding road through the trees.
Turns in the road are so mysterious and alluring, aren’t they? You never know what delightful things may await you, just around the bend.
