Today I have for you a picture and a song. There’s nothing to link them together except that I like them both.
Kansas City Kitty and Georgia Tom were a duet in the early 1930s. They were sassy! I couldn’t find a picture of them, and it looks like they only recorded about 20 songs which is too bad! They were really fun.
I also have a picture of a child contemplating an apple. I wonder what happened to this sweet little girl. What kind of life did she go on to live? She seems pretty intent on the apple here.
She was maybe 2 or 3 years old, when this photo was taken in 1900. The photographer, Ema Spencer, was born in Ohio and lived in New York and Pennsylvania.
