The Transformative Designs of Anna Muthesius

I came across the designs of Anna Muthesius today, and I was impressed by the dramatic beauty of her creations.

Per Wikipedia, Anna Muthesius, née Trippenbach, was born Dec 8, 1870.  She was a German fashion designer, concert singer, and author from Aschersleben.

I suspect there was much more to her than this top-line description conveys. However, most of these pictures came from German sites and unfortunately, I don’t speak a word of the language so I’m not sure what else is known about her.

Something about Anna Muthesius strongly suggests Frida Kahlo to me.
And Kahlo was half-German, I believe. Do you see it?
