Nothing much for you today except for one famous scene from the silent film Wings, starring Clara Bow, in 1927. It was the first film to win an Academy Award.
Isn’t it amazing they had the ability to do a shot like this before they even had talkies?
I’ve only seen clips of the movie, but if you’re so inclined, it’s free to watch on YouTube.
The camera work is amazing for the early days of filmmaking.

It amazes me they could do this before sound but I guess one had nothing to do with the other!

It was just unusual filming from table to table, creating a dialogue without sound.

As I find all things from the early 20th century, the film is fascinating. I am guessing the filming moving across the tables was done using a boom/jib, with the cameraman sitting behind the camera. Today’s boom/jib cameras are remotely controlled.
