An Irish Lily

This 1897 photograph is called The Irish Lily.

It’s a photograph of a woman wearing a hat, with a shawl that has a flower tucked under her chin, holding a bucket in the crook of her arm.

What do you make of this Irish Lily? What kind of a person is she? What sort of a life did she lead?
